Yay! It was a SUCCESS!

How  It Started:

I’m 43, reasonably intelligent, and I have a decent job as a trainer with the Municipal government here in Ottawa. What would possess me to dye my hair purple? “What?”, you ask. “You dyed your hair purple?”. Yes, yes I did.

And Now:

If you've been to this site before, you'll know that I dyed my hair purple and was scheduled to have it all lopped off all for the Make-A-Wish Foundation's fundraiser, The St. Valentine’s Day Hair Massacre. And that's exactly what happened. What I didn't foresee was the great generousity of my friends, family, and all those wonderful online gamers! Going into this, I had hoped to raise at least $300.00, but reached that goal in 2 days! So I increased it to $500.00. Two days later, I had to increase it again and then again. The event complete, I'm sitting pretty on a total of $660.00!!!

Now, the EPIC head is gone (yay!) to be replaced by purple tinged scalp. Ohmigod, I'm a pinhead! They made participants get their heads shaved on a stage at a local mall. The first thing my step-daughter said when I got off the stage was, "You look like a golfball". The comments have gone downhill from there. And for some reason, many of my coworkers feel compelled to rub my stubbly head. I'm not sure if it's for luck, but I guess they paid for the priviledge LOL

Of course, the one thing all my Warcraft friends have been asking this week is "When are you going to put up more pictures?" The answer is now.
